Quick Tip: Frozen Vegetables Offer Great Nutrition
Fresh, local vegetables may be harder to come by at this time of year–unless you live somewhere where it stays warm year-round (in which case, can I come visit you?). Frozen vegetables are a nutritious and budget-friendly alternative during the winter months. Some nutrients are lost in processing, of course. But because they are harvested at their nutritional peak and processed immediately, frozen vegetables can actually be more nutritious than “fresh” produce that travels halfway around the world to your local grocery store.
