Quick Tip: Freeze Summer Fruit for Winter Smoothies
Berries, peaches, and other delicious summer fruits are abundant at farmers markets right now. Buy more than you need and freeze some for a burst of summer nutrition this winter. Wash the fruit and allow it to dry completely. Remove the tops of strawberries; peel and slice peaches. Spread the fruit on a cookie sheet and place in the freezer until frozen hard. Then, place in a zipper-close freezer bag for delicious smoothies all year.
