A Cheap and Easy Way to Wash Your Vegetables
Did you know that fresh produce is often covered with wax, bacteria, and even pesticide residues? Nutrition Diva has the simple solution
It’s important to wash fresh fruits and vegetables thoroughly to remove surface impurities like wax, soil, bacteria, and even pesticide residues. But there’s no need to buy expensive vegetable sprays!
Simply pour undiluted white vinegar into a reusable spray bottle and keep it by the sink. To clean your produce, spray it with the vinegar, rub it with your hands, and rinse thoroughly. Remember to clean lemons and limes before putting them in drinks! For more, see this discussion on the Nutrition Diva Facebook page.
