Quick Tip: To Avoid Harmful Trans Fats, Check the Ingredient List
The Nutrition Facts labels on packaged foods may say that a food contains 0g of trans fat as long as it contains a half gram or less per serving. If you’re trying to avoid man-made trans fats, your best bet is to check the ingredient list for “hydrogenated” or “partially hydrogenated” oils.
