Starting in 2011, under the Affordable Care Act, many health plans will cover the cost of preventive services. Be sure to take advantage of these services so you stay healthy and reduce your medical costs. Depending on your age, you may have free access to:
- Flu and pneumonia shots
- Routine vaccinations
- Cancer screenings
- Blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol tests
- Well-baby and well-child visits up to age 21
- Healthy lifestyle counseling
