Commencement season is drawing to a close, but for the two million students who have just been spit out into the world, the journey is just beginning. Here are few ways you can help your favorite new grads launch the next phase of their lives.
Sign them up for a CSA share. Take it from me: When a crate of freshly picked produce appears in your kitchen every single week, you end up eating a lot more vegetables! Participating in Community Sponsored Agriculture also supports small local farms. This directory can help you locate a CSA wherever your grad is setting up housekeeping.
Get them a gym membership. Now that on-campus athletic facilities are no longer an option, a membership to a local gym can help motivate your new grad to get into a healthy routine.
Put together a gift card “bouquet.” A fistful of gift cards for local grocery, gas stations, office supply, hardware, and houseware stores is a fun way to help defray the expenses of setting up housekeeping.
