In this week’s podcast, Nutrient Density vs. Energy Density, I explain the differences between energy density and nutrient density and how to choose the foods that are right for you.
Foods with higher nutrient density are always a better choice. But energy density is a little trickier. If, for whatever reason, you’re trying to maximize your calorie intake, you’ll want to choose nutrient-dense foods with higher energy density.
If you’re trying lose weight, on the other hand, you can make your life easier by focusing on nutrient-dense foods with lower energy density.
