This simple yet elegant quiche is always a crowd pleaser. To save time, bake the crust in advance. When it’s time to serve, assemble the filling ingredients and add to the prepared crust. Be sure to let the quiche stand for 10 minutes after baking to make cutting and serving much easier.
Broccoli Ham Quiche
Prep time: 20 minutes
Bake time: 55 minutes
Yields 6-8 servings
Ingredients
- 1 unbaked deep-dish pastry shell (9″)
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon dried chopped onions
- 1 teaspoon dried minced garlic
- 1/2 cup diced fully cooked ham
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh broccoli florets and stems
Directions
Line pastry shell with a double thickness of heavy-duty foil. Bake at 4500 for 8 minutes. Remove foil; bake 5 minutes longer. Cool on a wire rack.
In a large bowl, combine the eggs, milk, and seasonings. Stir in the ham, broccoli, and cheese. Pour into prepared crust.
Bake at 3500 for 55-60 minutes or until set. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
