Top 3 New Exercise Technologies
What’s new and good in the world of exercise technology? Get-Fit Guy shares what he’s discovered so far this year.

I admit it. I’m a geek. When it comes to exercise, I enjoy checking out and testing the latest technology. Here are the 3 best new exercise technologies I’ve discovered so far this year:
PEAR biofeedback: The PEAR is a small training device about the size of an .mp3 player. It comes with a wireless heart rate monitor and foot pod to measure your body’s response to a workout, and then delivers audio coaching to keep you on track towards meeting your goal. You just turn on the PEAR, fire up your music or podcasts and then listen to the audio workout instructions. Check it out here.
FITBIT Activity & Sleep Tracker: The FITBIT tracks your daily steps, stairs climbed, distance walked, calories burned, and activity level via a motion and altitude sensor. You wear it on your clothing, on your wrist, or carry it in your pocket, and data wirelessly uploads data to Fitbit.com so you can see online graphs, compete with friends, earn new badges, as well as log your food intake, your weight, and other workouts. Check it out here.
TrainingPeaks: I’ve been using TrainingPeaks for the past 6 years to coach my clients, and it just keeps on getting better. They’ve recently added the ability to share your workouts on Twitter or Facebook, download running, hiking, biking or walking routes from anywhere in the world straight to your phone, and grab pre-written training and nutrition plans from experts. Check it out here.
